Hi all!

My name is Ann and I just joined the forum, I知 also a new comer to Land Clearing services. I知 still trying to understand it all and our little company (just me and my husband) is still navigating through all the different ways to approach the industry. It痴 a tough economy! I was wondering for those of you involved in the industry (especially veterans) business owner or not, what are some of services, tools, strategies, or latest resources you find helpful or profitable in doing your work or - business? Online or offline, I知 sure there is quite a lot in both right?!

Thanks and God bless!

Anna

A couple of perhaps obvious points;
Equipment for land clearing is typically large, heavy and expensive.
Unless the job is big it is uneconomic to haul your own equipment very far, so your range of customers is somewhat limited - unless or until you grow the business big enough to rent equipment from 100 miles/kilometers away to do jobs within a few miles/kilometers of those rental locations.

Stumps/root balls are easier to deal with if the trees are pushed over than if they are cut down - a local joke.

Permits, permits, permits....
I see these as the most likely hurdle to any land use or landscape changing business.
Federal, State, Town, neighbors; on and on objections to what your customers want done and how you are trying to do it for them.
