Has anyone ever had your lagoon get to much water in it. The over flow pipe is at the wrong angle and is not releasing any water. I told the builder that but he says that the level will start going down when the weather lets up. I have seen it drop quite rapidly during the summer months. Seem like we can't keep enough water in it during the hot months.But we are still 3 months away before hotter weather gets here. The builder says that the pipe should draw out water even if it is sloped wrong. I don't believe that.

Not sure what you mean by saying it's sloped wrong. Is the outlet higher then the inlet? Is there water flowing out of the outlet side?

A properly designed pond (I think a lagoon is a pond) will have a spillway large enough to handle the worse case weather conditions. There is no such thing as a pipe big enough for this. A pipe is good for most situations if that's what you like, but a pipe is never a spillway.

If you get more water into your lagoon/pond then the pipe can keep up with, where will the extra water go? Over the dam?

Up here a lagoon is for depositing waste, and you don't want anything draining out of it.
