I have a LA514 Loader. The bucket is shot and my amiture welds are not holding. The entire length is split and each end is broken. I want a Used bucket but do Not want Kubota made bucket. Any suggestions.

Probably would be easier to haul the bucket to a local weld shop for an estimate to have it beefed up. I believe that cost would be cheaper than any other bucket you could find.

Just my thinking.

No offense to any other owners but the Kubota buckets are some of the best. Both of mine have a reinforcement bar across all four edges. I’ve seen plenty of other buckets that only had a reinforcement bar across the bottom and of course the top and sides get bent up. I agree with having a good welder do it. If I was replacing the bucket I’d get a skid steer bucket. The deep bottom skid steer buckets are mulch better than the half circle tractor buckets IMO. The only reason I can think of for doing that is it makes the breakout force stronger.

The top lip of my BX2200 bucket is bent where Son has hooked chains over the lip, even though there are reinforced chain hooks welded on each end of the bucket. GRRRRR, but whatchagodo?

Start with the strong likelihood Kubota does not make its labelled buckets.

In the same way its front mounted blowers are made by RAD for both Kubota and John Deere, the color being the only difference.

FEL valves on some tractor models are made by a third party (HUSCO from memory). You find the company name cast into the FEL valve block and then contact that company for info. They tell you that is a valve which is a Kubota valve and you have to get support from Kubota.

Go shopping for a new bucket with weight being the selection criteria. However, the heavier and more durable the bucket, the less the material lifting ability for the FEL.

Some owners buy a bucket designed for snow removal and then end up using it in a quarry.

Fixing what you have with some additional reinforcements seems like the most economical way to go but if you want super heavy duty, those buckets are out there.

So was this just a post to bash kubota?

Only one post, nothing good to say.....

Yet no pictures, and no information. Like is this bucket SSQA (lots of options) or is it pin on (very few options)?
