LA513 Loader tilt Cylinders Hit Bucket Boom

I have a Kubota L3130 tractor with a LA513 loader. The bucket is a L2234 with a quick connect. The quick connector number is L2231A. The tilt cylinders hit the lower part of the boom when dumping the bucket. I called the Kubota dealership and the salesman told me they would come get the tractor a weld some key stock on the bucket stop so the tilt cyinders won't hit. I asked him if I had the right bucket and he assured me I did. Kubota web site says the quick coupler should be a L2230A instead of the L2231A. The L2231A is for the LA723 loader. If they weld enough key stock to keep the tilt cylinders from hitting the bucket won't dump all the material out of it. When I roll the bucket back and have the boom raised above head high it would dump the load back on the operator if the bucket were loaded.
Anybody out there with a L3130 with the LA513 loader with a quick connector?

I'm thinkin' yer absolutely correct..I had the same problem when I first got my L3430, 513 Loader and QA...bent the cylinders in the first 15 minutes /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

To make a long story short...finally got the dealer to do some investigatin' on the problem, 'stead of blamin' it on operator error /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif...

Came to find out there was a switch in the QA with the serial #'s...can't remember the numbers for sure but seem to recall there was a ####A and a ####B an the QA models...

Dealer (with a red face) refunded the money I had paid to have the "Operator Error" bent cylinders repaired, put the right QA on the loader and then changed out the 513 for the 723 that was 'sposed to have been on the tractor in the first place /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I really appreciate the reply.

I'm going to contact the dealer tomorrow if they are open and hopefully talk to someone other than I did earlier today and see what I can come up with.

Since you are both in GA, you might want to find out who GareyD's dealer is and have your dealer call them to get the scoop on what the problem is and how to rectify it. It will be a lot easier on the dealer than having him do a lot of research and possibly not finding the answer to the problem. In the end, both you and your dealer will be happier and have spent less time for the correct fix.....

My L3430 with LA-513 loader came with a L2230 quick tach. I think you do have the wrong one.

This confirms the Kubota site part number for the quick attach. I'll call my dealer Monday (Palmer Equioment Co. in Washington, Ga.) and maybe they can get the right part for me.
