A friend of mine has a 1995 L5450, 1247 hrs,,runs very good, this tractor started having blowby and eventually starts dripping oil out of the crankcase vent hose,,this started almost immediatley hes had it several years and this just started happening, I think its a broke ring but im not a mech,,its not smoking out the exhaust..what yall think

Usually diesel slobber occurs at the exhaust outlet and is caused by short periods of usage when the tractor never really warms up. You say it's coming from the crankcase breather tube. I think I'd check the compression because that's sounds like excessive blow by.

I don't think that tractor is even broken in for the amount of years it has per hours! Go work the &&&& out of it and it might cleanout!

Or take it to a dealer and let him put it on the dyno for a day to try and break the glaze on the cylinders!

Remove the valve cover and check the oil drain holes in the head, also check and make sure the oil/vapor separator didn't come part.
