After reviewing several other threads, I completed the 50 hour service on our L5240 this afternoon. My dealer's service manager recommended only changing the filters and not replacing all of the hydraulic fluid at this point. I also changed the engine oil and filter.
Several threads had touched on the loss of hydrualic fluid when not draining all of it and only replacing filters. It took less than 1/2 gallon of Super UDT to top it off after changing the filters and running it for a few minutes. The fluid loss was minimal.
The biggest challenge was getting the original hydraulic filters off. I had to resort to the "screwdriver-through-the-center" method for the larger of the two after destroying a filter wrench and not budging it. The smaller of the two has notches so I was able to use a hammer and screwdriver to loosen it.
In addition to the other existing threads, I hope this helps anyone who might be considering doing the service.
