2005 L4330 has no rear hydraulics, Does anyone know if I can use the FEL controls, with a hydraulic hose back to the mower. It seems to me, all I need to figure out, is which line will raise the mower. Any thoughts Thanks.

Its pretty trivial if you have quick disconnects. Just unplug the lift or curl circuit & plug in something else.

The curl circuit probably has regen on it, which can cause unexpected results if you aren't familiar with what regen does (just search for regen here on TBN).

If regen won't be an issue I'd use the curl circuit over the lift circuit so you can lift or lower the loader for clearance issues. Or just remove the loader if its easily removable & not needed for ballast.

If you want to get fancy you could pay a few hundred dollars & install a diverter. That would switch the hydraulic line from the front (curl or lift circuit) to the rear for your mower or what not at the push of a button.

Either way you are looking at a hundred plus for hoses & fittings I'm guessing.

Given most disc mowers only use one hydraulic line, you will want to use the same outlet that raises your loader boom, this way you can use the float position to lower the mower / allow it to float when you shove the joystick ahead.

The above assumes you remove the loader, which just makes sense to me. I hate haying with a loader in the way.

Yes, you can use the other outlets with no problem.

And, no if you are talking about a disc mower-conditioner as opposed to just a disc mower. A disc mower conditioner is a power hog and pulling a 9 ft New Idea mower conditioner (in Maine timothy) took me 80 HP. Not sure about the power needed for a basic disc mower but it has to be a pretty good amount. I have an L4300--same tractor-- and don't think it would have the power.

Just my opinion here-- look into it and maybe try it before a purchase.

If you are talking a small 3pt disc mower, you should be able to run a 4 disk (5 foot and change) with 30 PTO HP. No you won't be going 10 MPH, but you will be cutting hay. I run 5 disc machine on 42 PTO HP and no power worries.

Agree you won't be running a discbine.

Attaching cutter hose to either boom circuit breakaway coupler will operate cutter bar depending on which direction control(JS) is moved

Thanks for your help guys. No conditioner, no drum. Everything Attach has a Bellon 4LD, 4 discs 66" cut $5.5K no shipping. Tractor Tools Direct has a Galfre 165, 4 discs, 66" cut $5K shipping extra. I hate to spend the $$$, but I'm going to No Till several acres to alfalfa this Spring, and I don't want to wait around for my neighbor to cut it for me.
