Hi All -
My L4200GST has been having the occasional failure to start. It probably was always like this since I got it, I don't remember. Anyway, occasionally after I shut down the machine, I'll turn the key to re-start and nothing happens. Most times I have the shuttle-shift engaged (so it's not supposed to start), but sometimes it is in neutral. I generally move the shift lever back and forth a time or two and it then starts right up. Recently, I've noticed that when the non-start event happens and after I jiggle the shuttle shift around, I have to turn the key all the way off first, then back to start for it to go. I'm not sure that this happens all the time, but does occasionally for sure. Once it starts up, everything operates perfectly.
My guess that my shuttle-shift neutral-safety switch is sticking and should either be removed and cleaned up or replaced. I can't explain the key-off thing, however.
Any guesses?
Where is the shuttle neutral safety switch located?
Thanks much - JayC
