I have a 99 l4200 that may be developing a clutch problem. I have tryed to lubricate the linkage points and adjust the adjuster, but the pedal has gotten very stiff and does not operate as smooth. the clutch does not slip, chatter, or seem to have any other problem. any ideas anybody

It is probably just corrosion in the pivots - more PB Blaster. I'd say just stop using it anyway. I haven't pushed the clutch pedal on my L4200 in years.

Yeah that was my problem on my l3300 seldom used my clutch and it got harder and harder to use until it was no longer usable. Ended up splitting tractor apart. the rod that goes through the case was stuck. couldn't break loose with penetrating oil. repaired by drilling a lube port into the case and installing Zerk fitting to grease.
You guys must have a gst, mines not If I dont clutch, I dont shift. I talked to a service guy at local dealership, he said it is the rod going through the bellhousing. Said kubota was aware and had made a different shaft to replace them, which are alittle smaller in diam. Also said They have had good luck just using the old shaft and sanding it down and putting anti-seize on it and no problem. you would have thought from the get go they would have put grease fittings in.
