New to this forum guys but have referenced this site many times for assistance with issues.

Just took delivery of a new L4060HSTC, factory 3rd functrion and all the cold weather CNY artic options (all defrosters, front & rear lights etc...) and have an issue with the master warning light (as named by the owners manual).

The light in question is a red triangle with an exclamation point within same and my problem is that although it is too warm to utilize the glow plugs at this time if I leave the key in the "On" (2nd click) position for more that 2-3 seconds while messing with the radio or what not, and then start the tractor the warning light will flash until shut down.

Now conversely if I start the tractor "like a car" and just hop in an turn the key starting same immediately the warning light never comes on. (it is about 60 degrees out today and glowplugs are obviously not needed)

I talked to three dealers and was told the following:

1) "Just start it like a car, no warning light no problem"
2) "Ignore it"
3) "The is the system telling you that you do not need to delay starting"

Bottom line is that I cant take a chance "ignoring" something or not correcting the issue with a $40K tractor!! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I would call Kubota and ask them what to do.

I have an older 4310 HST Kubota. If I'm reading your problem correctly - it could be a glow plug controller that I had to replace.

Search here on tractorbynet and read thru threads. It's not really expensive, but on mine it was really hard to access, unless you have hands like ET.

New tractor? This is Kubota's problem to fix, not yours, unless I missed something.

You should get some colder temps real soon. I would leave it outside on a cold night and then try starting it. Maybe the dealers are right but even at 60f out my glow plugs come on for a few seconds. But my Kubota has the standard yellow light, you wait until the light goes out before starting.

Thanks for the help everyone! I placed a call to Kubota who said they'd look into it for me. Talking to Barlows I was told that I can not "delay start it" and to start it like a car unless it's a glow pluggable start per se. Waiting for some cold days to see and keeping my fingers crossed.

I looked over the instrument panel on a Grand L 60. I see it does not incorporate a glow plug light similar to my L5740, my old L3710, and my M135GX. What does the Operator's Manual say about a glow plug lamp? Is it part of another light? Is that why you mentioned the red general alert light? It would be non-standard to have glow plugs show as a red alert. Red is reserved for major malfunction such as loss of oil pressure.

-20C today... my L39 starts and my B7800 starts but the brand new L6060 shows the glow-plug symbol on the LCD for a few seconds then shows the triangle with exclamation mark on the LCD and a red version of the triangle above the LCD. The manual is useless, there's only one reference to this where it's described as a "master warning light" with no further explanation. Despite a large LCD, there's no way to drill down and find out what it's trying to warn. The service manager at the dealer is away today and no one else knows what this means.

Does anyone have any idea what the symbol means or how to "ask" the tractor what it's complaining about?

(I did finally get the tractor started despite the symbol)

Thanks everyone!

I'm having the exact issue. Check my youtube video named gallupissue.mp4 . Is that what your showing? What add on did you have installed? Upgrades to alternator, defroster, block heater?
