I paid $45k for my fully loaded L4060hstc last fall. Cab along with air ride a full suite of extra hydraulics & other stuff adds up.

New or used?

4-WD or 2-WD?

What tires?

What transmission?

With sale tax or without sales tax?

Hi,

Is 28k a good price for L4060 with loader LA805?

$28,000 is an excellent price. Good negotiating.

In January 2013 I paid $27,500 for my smaller, open station L3560/HST with LA805, L2296 HD RB bucket, R4 tires, two bucket hooks installed and optional Draft Control.
(No sales tax on ag equipment in Florida.)

I would have expected a new L4060 to be at least $31,000 in the NE.

Great tractor.

You will find this interesting: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/customization/316605-kubota-l3560-rear-storage.html#post4819537

Thank you for the info and link Jeff.

L3560HST is intriguing...I can save a couple thousand more. I honestly like the idea that Kubota is more likely to have a better resale value in 4 years, compared to Kioti.

it is the question of saving several thousand today (with Kioti NX4510HST) or get back several thousand in four years (with Kubota L4060HST)...

very tough to know for sure, but they may just break even.

I'll go test drive an L3560 this week. I like the pictures you posted.

For my Florida woods work, the 6" width difference between the 60" L3560 and 66-1/2" width of the other Grand Ls was significant.

I suggest you buy a stick of 1-1/4" diameter Schedule 40 PVC pipe, then cut it to 66-1/2" long. Then walk around your place with the PVC and see if 60" or 66" tractor is a better fit in your storage area, key work areas and woods. Also check your gate widths.

I have had zero difficulty getting parts for the two Kubota tractors I have owned. That said, I expect parts for the L 4060/4760/5060/6060, all based on one chassis, have to be available in greater depth than parts for the singular L3560.

All the Grand Ls share ONE operator's manual. You will not be able to detect any difference between an L3560 and an L4060 during a dealer premise demo. The PVC width test will be time better spent. If you have sloped ground, or intend to pick up 1,800 pound loads with your FEL LA805, the 66" wide L 4060/4760/5060/6060 will be significantly more stable than the 60" wide L3560.

You negotiated a terrific price on the L4060. I would think twice before instilling doubt at the dealer about your commitment, if the two of you reached an agreement.

RE: resale. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Thank you very much Jeff.

I will definitely try the 66-1/2 pipe test.

Very true your comment on resale...but then this makes saving several thousands today (with Kioti) a safer decision than gambling with future results.

Hey, I am not affiliated with Kubota in any way, just a satisfied Kubota repeat customer.

Spend your money where you wish and as you wish; you earned it.
