Good round numbers would tell me to go for a ten foot ceiling height to cover lighting but nine foot will get you barely by.

I am planning a 10' ceiling, i am not sure on the height of the door opening. I figure that i can adjust the hoe to make it in, but the ROPS is my problem. Thanks for the response

You CAN get it in an eight foot door if you remove the trim and block up the door against the framing so it does not hang down into the opening. I do this. If there is any drop off away from the opening, you will have to go in forwards rather than backing in. In short, if you are building from scratch, I would strongly suggest something taller than eight feet. Good luck!

I know at this time before you build you can adjust the dood height, the problem might be someone else adjusting the door height for you after it is built while driving it in and not knowing or remembering how it goes in or out.
This is only from watching people do it in the past on delivery after they have shown me how nice it will fit in with little effort! They forgot too!

I'd be looking at going over 107 for height of the door so the hoe could be in transport position and drive in without a problem. Like I said 10' would be about as low as I'd go if it was to be used on a regular basis.

Three years ago the unit I brought home to clean my driveway during the winter I found I could keep in the garage but in order to allow the roll bar to get under the door frame I had to use the down pressure on the blower to raise the front end to allow the roll bar to get under. While away a couple of days a helper thought he'd clean the drive for my wife; I think you know the rest of the story. It wasn't really to bad and he did have it fixed nicely, the tractor wasn't in the garage when I got home so I was curious to begin with, they took me out to see if I'd notice anything different.

I had an existing 24x24 garage when I purchse my L39 in July. It has 8ft doors (they actual measure a hair over 95 inches) and I just make it in. There are bolts on top the plastic roof of the L39 which appear to be the highest point. If you have a true 96 inch opening you will be good to go.

Yep, the bolts on the FOPS hit my 8' opening. Not sure how high the backhoe sets in locked up position. Go with 12' ceiling and 10' door.
