Currently have a L3800dt and I want to acquire a backhoe with a hydraulic thumb. The bh77 lacks the hydraulic thumb option and I don't want to purchase a HT kit and deal with the hydraulic system. The BH 90 has what I want, but everyone says it to large for my tractor, despite fitting the kubuta HP capacity? I don't plan on having the hoe attached to the tractor full time, only when I need it. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
The L3800 doesn’t have a sub frame that will fit the bh90 backhoe. You’d have to fabricate something and risk damage to your tractor afterward. The bh77 doesn’t have the factory option for a hydraulic thumb but many people have built their own version. It’s probably a much more feasible option than try to make a larger backhoe work.
