I'd go with the grand L with a GST transmission.

Grand L3540 HST would be your ticket, strong loader all the bells and whistles you'll ever need. Not because I own one, I'm just saying.

Go with the grand L with the GST you won't regret it!! Ive had both the HST and GST and like the GST hands down:thumbsup:

Finally pulled the trigger today on the L3540 HST with FEL. We test drove a L3200 and a L5740 with cab - kind of hard to infer what the L3540 with ROPS will be like - but I figured the features of the Grand are worth it over the life of the tractor. I like the idea of the heavier tractor and beefier FEL.

Thanks to all who responded - I appreciate your advice.

The waiting game begins - I don't intend to take physical possession until early March - no place to really store it this winter. Once spring rolls around - the tractor will have to sit in the open until the shed gets built later in 2012.

Now to find a box scraper, rotary mower, ...
