L35 TLB block heater

I would like to put a block heater in my tractor. I won't do this until the weather gets warmer when I want to flush and drain the antifreeze. Just looking online to see which one it is and every website seems to show different sizes for the freeze plug. My tractor has freeze plugs that measure just a little over an inch. 27mm or 1.08 in. yet those are only listed for a BX. Others are larger sizes. Has anyone put one of these heaters in an L35 ? I'm just thinking ahead but nobody lists one that looks like it would fit in my tractor.

Do what you like best of course but I used a plug in heater for years on VW diesels. At the time Sears was selling them. I'm sure they are still around and are not "block heaters." The reason they work so well is that they go in-line in one of the radiator hoses and circulate warm water through the entire system including the block. Some engines have the room around them and a suitable place to cut the radiator hose and put in the heater. Others do not. They are totally universal if there is space for them. And no matching size of block holes, knockouts and all that. Do have to make sure the thermostat is not blocking flow.

Some of the blocks have a threaded plug that you remove and then screw in the block heater. I think I had that kind on my 2650.

I bought the one that inserts into the heater hose, easier install for me. I’ll get you pictures. I have an L35 also.
