Thanks to some great help on a prior problem I am hoping for more. The control lever on my L345 works fine as long as I hold it in an up position, but when I release it the lever falls on its own and the arms go down. It lifts with very little pull but the arms remain up as long as I hold the lever up. I am clueless.

I think there's a nut and a jam nut on the lever shaft. Using two wrenches, loosen the 2 nuts from each other, snug up the inner one a bit so the lever has a little drag, then hold the inner one and tighten the outer one against it. As always, prompt cheerful refund if info is bogus. Take care, Dick B

I second what rbargeron stated. The friction device that holds the control lever snug needs tightening a little.

Thanks, Tx Jim and rbargeron. I always think something is going to be more complicated. By the way, Tx Jim, the bypass hose for the rear remote control valve worked perfectly. Thanks again.

Thanks, rbargeron. Some things are so simple when you know what to do.

As experience grows there's less to these things than meets the eye. I've been around L345's over 30 years - not many surprises any more.
