I just got my bh80-x in yesterday, and have installed the subframe. It appears the clevis at the tractor end of the 3pt sidelinks (not sure of correct term) will be hard to get back on, because there is the head of one of the subframe mounting bolts in the way... did anyone else encounter this problem... and if so how did you handle it (I have to be able to take backhoe off and use my 3pt. implements!).

I would like to find a way to leave my 3pt arms on with the backhoe mounted, and somehow lock the 3pt lever so that I couldn't accidently raise the 3pt and damage the hoe... again, if anyone has done this I am interested in how. Thanks in advance.

Many factory subframes make the 3PH hard to use. I have installed
one from Woods that required partial subframe romoval to remounthe
3-pt arms. That's bad.

Pls post a photo.

I will post a pic within the next couple of days. Anyone else with experience on this particular setup?

I am to believe that since you have your sub-frame mounted, Wood's sent the correct bolts for the bottom blind holes?

As far as the clevis hooks, I just ground off the edge that needed clearance from the bolt head.

Removing the lift arm linkage is part of the deal with 4 pt mount.

JW 8575 -

Thanks for the reply. I thought about grinding the clevis, and figured that was the way I would have to go, but I just hate to weaken that link by grinding it down.

As far as the bolts go, no they did not have the M14x1.5px50mm bolts in the package. I spent 2 hours and 80 miles on my truck before I found some in a specialty bolt shop. Fastenall, and Graingers didn't have them in stock. I talked to a Kubota tech guy who agreed to mail me the correct bolts, but I couldn't wait. They came in 2 days, but I already had it mounted. You would think they would figure it out and correct that problem!

I am very happy with the performance of the BH80-X... for it's size it does a good job. I dug out a small oak stump (16"), in about 20 minutes. I then tackled a big one (30") that had the roots imbedded in some large rock, and it took me about 3 hours. Again, it's not a Case 580, but for it's size I am very impressed.

I noticed you have a grapple?... could you give me some information on it... model, cost, performance, etc.? Thanks.

Here's the web page, they are located in your state! (Tarboro, NC 27886)
W.R.Long the 4N1 Bucket People

I have the W.R. Long Root Rake Grapple "RBG-2" 60", 12v valve kit and quick dis-connect couplers.

I also have the thumb on my back-hoe. Having both of these really makes clean-up and landscaping projects a breeze.

You'll have to order the W.R. Long kit from your dealer, and delivery will be made only to a "Loading Dock" facility. I'm sure that your dealer would be able to help you if you decide to purchase one. I found my packing slip (1/ 26 / 06) but I can't find my bill. I'm guessing $1600.00 + - ??????

I purchased through Carver Equipment.
