3-Point Hitch L3400 - L3800 Adjustable Lift Arm....Help!

I've only used my box blade much in the past two years, or so. So far I've made all the adjustments manually, and on my tractor I can reach the top link from the seat, and I seldom have used adjusted the side link. You really have to turn the top link quite a bit to go from grading forward, to grading in reverse unless you are "right on" that 3pt lever all the time. A hydraulic top link is on my short list the next time my tractor is at the dealer's place. I don't consider myself lazy, but I do think the hydraulic top link is kind of like a light saber for grading use since you can fine tune things so easily. One could say that about power steering too I guess, but this is not about putting labels on good folks, or feeling the need to be defensive, it is about getting the job done in a way that is both productive, and a little fun. Even with all my glacial rocks, etc. I am having a ball with mine making trails, etc. It makes me feel young again, except that I don't have to make the noises with my lips, so let's all just keep having fun with it.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback, I might be dumb but I ain't stupid! I may have miss- stated what I was trying to ask. Obviously trying to adjust with weight on it is very hard if not impossible. Even when you let the implement down it is not very easy! What I was looking for is maybe something like an old ford top link with a crank mechanism or a folding handle that would give you more leverage. I like the re-bar idea, never thought of that. I may even try to design a lever myself on that re-bar idea.
Thanks Guys!

The next time I have mine apart, I'm going to weld a big nut on the outside of the adjusting sleeve either just above or below the two "nubs" that Kubota welded on. That way I can use the big adjustable wrench I carry in the toolbox anyway.

If yours is the same as the one on my 2350 (and it sounds identical) then the lock nut is a LEFT HAND THREAD! Make sure the problem isn't because you're trying to tighten when you want to loosen.

Ask me how I know :)
