It sure is nice to have a swivel. Although, it is a wake up call when they malfunction. On the case 580B backhoes, the seat goes up as you turn it around, sometimes it doesn't click and when I've sat down, I've gone way down! It's pretty funny after you get over the brief shock! lol.... Sleepyhollow, I asked you on the JD forum, but not sure you saw it, do you have any more pics. of your backhoe for us to enjoy?
Nope, Roy, not in the market for a tractor in the near future; wouldn't have time to use one if I had it./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif We just moved my mother into a nearby nursing home yesterday, so I've been busy researching and selecting one, and spending a bit of time over there, both before and after moving her. Even more details to take care of than I expected. We'll be staying in town for at least a year, then who knows.
So it's the backhoe you want to see more of... I just took that off last weekend and it's hibernating in the garage. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. I promise you some nice action shots in the spring after I take the snowblower off.
I would have dug some holes for the fun of it (and some stumps too) but I had a ton of holiday and work related tasks, not to mention the ever growing "Honey-Do" list which included getting the tractor ready for snow removal duty. My wife was going to be very upset if snow fell and she couldn't use the snowblower /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
If your interested though, I'll take some pictures of the backhoe in the garage off the tractor. I love that backhoe except for one thing. JD did not leave enough clearance between the hydraulic disconnect and the BH seat. It's a pain to undo one of the hoses, but other than that I'm in hog heaven.
Sleepyhollow
Sleepyhollow, sure thing, I do like the backhoes. If you want to take pics. of the hoe in the garage that's fine. Thanks for being so easy going about this! No rush though on the pics. I know it's a busy time. Cheers.
Still waiting for the B7800 to arrive, and feed back from owners before I trade.
Thomas, I hope to be able to provide some feedback soon. My B7800 arrived (in the state) yesterday...it was held up by the LA dock strike. It's at the dealer's Mesa AZ store, and has to be assembled, and configured to my specs, but I am told I should have it within two weeks!!!
