L3130
I am the proud owner of new L3130 FEL shuttle trans. I love the tractor. I have a question concerning the first service. The dealer told me that at 50 hours I should change the oil and filter and the hydraulic filter only. The manual says to change the fluid in the transmission, front axle, engine oil along with all of the filters. What should I do.

I have 3 Kubota dealers in my area. 2 of them said they do less than what Kubuta says to do in the manual. They say they have never had a problem!!! (YET) Kubota.... I imagine......employ a few engineers that come up with the service manual. Do I trust a multi -million dollar company with a staff of engineers or a local dealer that employs high school grads to do there oill changes? IMHO I will stick to the service manual. A few bucks now may save a lot of bucks in the future.

I just bought a L3430 and plan to have the full service as described in the manual although the dealer said they usually did less. He quoted me $150 for the basic service and $350 for the service as described in the manual. For $200 it is worth if to make me feel better considering the initial investment of purchasing the tractor. Basically, do what makes you feel comfortable. Performing the full service may not help anything but it definitely won't hurt either.
