I've finally decided to purchase an L3010HST. It should be ready sometime next week. The dealer had to order turf tires for me and they arrived this week but the sidewalls look a little dried out to me. Is this a normal appearance for Goodyear turf tires. They don't look really bad, but they don't look perfect either. I don't want to be a pain with the dealer if it is just cosmetic but if it will be a problem 2 years from now I might insist they send new tires. I find it hard to believe that Kubota would have sent tires from the warehouse (they came mounted on wheels) that had anything wrong with them. I don't think they were in stock because it took about a month to get the tires and it only took about a week to get the other parts from Kubota that were in stock.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,
Congratulation on your new Kubota. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I to notice some so call of the market parts for Kubota more so lately, /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif so I call them spare parts. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

If you have doubts about the tire I would get the new tires..can't roll long with bad tires.

Hope you are planing on a FEL and other attachments. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Kevin:

When I was searching for tires for my old B6100, I found that my dealer has a small "warehouse" full of tires already mounted on wheels. Apparently there is much switching and swapping of tires on new tractors to meet customer's desires. These are all brand new or virtually brand new tires that he keeps just sitting around until someone needs a set. Mine, like yours did not have the "like-new" black color.

On the other hand, they did not have the "new" price, either.

Congratulations on the new Kubota. I'm sure you'll be pleased with your new toy.....just in time for the Holidays, too.

If it were me, and I were laying out the dollars for a new tractor, I'd want new tires. If I were buying an "experienced" tractor, I'd have a different view, but for a new tractor......get new tires. You'd probably never have any problems with them, but why let it weigh on your mind.
