I'm considering buying an L2850 (1986 or so); asking price is $9500. It goes great, but there's weeping from the top of both spindles in the front axle. Is this a big deal?
Second: I lifted the front end up with the loader, and spun the wheels (it was in 2-wheel drive at the time). When I spun one wheel, the opposite side would spin too, but it they were not tightly tied to one another...I could spin the one wheel probably 4-6" before the other would spin. Should I have less free play in this, or is it okay.
No problem with using the machine in 4WD when I test drove it.
thanks for the replies-
