L2800 Wires for work lights?

I want to put a couple work lights on my 2800. My quesion is: What are the yellow and black wire for under the turn signal. There is one yellow and one black under each fender with bullet type connections. Is this where I can tie a work light into? I think I have read that these wires are hot all the time. Does that mean I have to get a switch? What size light would you recommend? I looked at a few at Tractor Supply, but thought I had better ask here first.
