I think I'm about ready to buy (thanks for the help from eveyone!!)

I think I'm leaning towards the L2800HST, but I haven't quite eliminated the L3400HST.

I've checked prices form a number of dealers in my area, and fortunately the lowest price one is also one of the closer ones.

Do these prices sound reasonable?

L2800HST = $11,759
LA463 = $3417
Total = $15176

L3400HST = $12,919
LA463 = $3417
Total = $16,336

Includes full tank of diesel and delivery

R4 Tires = $460 (Should I consider this?)
Canopy = $300 (probably won't work with all my trees

6 Foot Rock Rake = $640

Thanks for any help!

I paid 17.2k for my 3400hst, fel and r4's.

You're getting a good price, or I got screwed....:D

I paid $15,700 for my L2800 HST/FEL with the R4's last summer. Looks like you have been offered some very good prices. They will all be considerably higher in the future with steel and fuel cost increases. You might be able to negotiate a good price on your 50 hour service check while dealing on the tractor (I didn't and wish I would have). Who knows, worth a try. Good luck with your purchase, I don't believe you can do better for less. It's hard to say if the price you quoted is a good one on the rock rake, there are so many out there at various prices, I think I paid $550 for my 6 foot Rhino 300 rake.

What does the 50 hour service usually cost?

Also, is that one I should have the dealer do, as opposed to doing it myself?

Thanks for the reponses!

I did my own 50 hour service (if I can, you should be able to do it) :D Everything you need to do is written in the manual.

R1 vs. R4... There are hundreds (ok, a lot) of threads on this, plenty of reading you can do. For me, I'm not using a plow and don't need the extra traction. I wanted something that is a little bit easier on the grass that I drive on (without leaving impressions). Leave it up to you as if it's worth it.

Does sound like a good price for both. Either would work, I wanted to save a little money for more impliments. I don't care about re-sale since this is going to be a lifetime investment. Hope it works out that way.

Rock rake sounds high but then again, I'm a big fan of buying used impliments.

Dweyant,
Sounds like a good price. I just paid 15,900 with 0% financing last week for an L2800 HST with LA 463 loader and R4s. It was the best price I could find around Indianapolis (2 other dealers) or around Columbus Ohio (2 dealers). I got quotes anywhere from 50000 to 1000.00 higher from these other guys. I only have 4 hrs on it and am really enjoying it.
