Hi;
I am new here. I see that you all are a wealth of information. I am in the market for an L2800 HST or L3400 HST with Kubota FEL. I live in Connecticut and have been quoted $16700 and $17,900 respectively. I have not tried to haggle at all yet. This price is a bit higher than I have seen on the boards here for other parts of the country. Does anyone know what I should be looking to pay for this machine in New England? Thanks for any help.:)

Can't really compare the prices for the regions, but I paid 17.2k for the 3400hst.... $800.00 more than the 2800hst.

Thanks Swampvol. I know the prices vary alot around the country. Maybe rather than trying to get the price down I should try to get a box blade thrown in or the tires filled.

Thats what I would do. See if they will also weld a couple of hooks to your bucket, or better yet throw in a tooth bar. Doesn't hurt to try.

Good luck.

You should be able to find a L3400/w loader for $15000-$15,500 ubless your region is much higher then the southeast coast. Just keep looking and don't rule out a low hour machine.

Hooks are a great call swampvol, and tooth bar would be welcomed too! Wayne, 15000-15500 for HST? That seems like a really low price. I would go low hour used machine, but I like the 0% financing option on the new machines, and the used machines are tough to come by around here.

Mine was $17300 last year. That was HST with loader, R4's filled with methanol, toothbar, and delievery. That is about 10 percent off list price here in NC. Shopping around all dealers within a couple hundred dollars of this price.

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like my dealer is a little high, but closer than I thought. I am checking with two other dealers before I buy. IXL8R, that price sounds good for your B7800, this dealer in CT quoted me 16,100 with FEL, but bo block heater or rear work light for the 7800.
