l2501 lift capacity

I purchased this Titan Attachments 46" Pallet Fork Frame Attachment with 42" Fork Blades 793573218032 | eBay and Im wondering if my Kubota will at least lift a full pallet of cement block far enough off the ground so that I can shuffle them around?
I believe there are 72 blocks per pallet.
If not is there any way I can modify the valve to give me more power? I know everything is detuned on these tractors so that they have less warranty issues. I have no problem with doing the mods if I only know how they are done

Kubota s’ loader #s = loader capacity in KGs at full height. Typically that would be much more at “just off the ground” !
I don’t know the weight of a cement block - but loader capacity is determined by several factors (pump capacity, relief valve settings, front axle strength, ballast trim, loader arm geometry, etc.). I suggest just trying it first before just modding a valve .........

I seriously doubt that will work out well. Even cranking the hyd pressure up to the point the bypass valve doesn't function, I don't think you can lift that much on a pallet.

I'm assuming you are referring to what is commonly called a "cinder block"? Those are 35-40 pounds each. At 35 pounds X 72 blocks that's 2520 pounds. And being on a pallet, the "center" of that weight is half way back on the pallet. That puts most of the weight you're trying to lift pretty far from the pins. Tractor Data website says the L2501 has 1490 lbs of lift at the pins. I'd rough factor losing a quarter of that (at least, but lets say a quarter) due to the greater distance to the pins.

When I brought home a pallet of pavers, it weighed 3000 lbs. I left the entire pallet in the bed of my truck (3/4 ton), and picked them off the pallet to get the first half off. So down to 1500 lbs, with my forks on my FEL, I could lift it, but the remaining half that was there was at the far end of the pallet, furthest away from the pins. You could really feel that on the tractor when I lifted. Back end got pretty light, but it did it.

For reference, my bare tractor weight is 4200 lbs, weighs in at 7100 lbs with FEL, box blade on rear, and filled rear tires. And for reference, mine is rated at 2100 lbs lift at the pins, but to full height, not just getting it off the ground.

What kind of blocks? A standard cement block is ~35 lbs so that would be ~2500lbs, my MX would struggle with that doubt anything smaller would handle it. I wouldn't be driving around with that load at all in the MX, getting it off a trailer probably, getting it out of truck bed probably not too much weight that high with the MX makes my rear end pucker too bad.

I would use some caution attempting this. Even if you could lift that much with your L2501, it might damage the front axle. It would also create a tipping hazard when moving that weight on uneven ground.

also possible safety hazard upping the lift capacity: blowing out hoses...you don't want to be in it's path if it happens. can't begin to imagine a payload like that on your sub compact. w/pallet forks that load would prob be close max for my own machine. best regards

A l2501 will not pick up a cube of block. The tractor does not weigh enough to pick up that much weight.

I unloaded 10 railroad ties, 5 at a time, and the steering did not like that much weight. Five ties in one layer at approximately 1100 pounds.

As already stated. Not even close. But the notion of just increasing hydraulic pressure to increase the loader lift capacity ignores the structural and stability issues, balance, and strength of the overall machine.

I wouldn't do it either. That load is approaching the actual weight of the machine itself. It wouldn't take that long to unload 1/2 of the blocks onto an empty pallet, and move them safely.
