L2350 UDT Fluid Level

I had trouble getting my tractor to indicate a fluid level using the sight glass on the side of the transmission housing. The fluid is 1" from the top and still not showing in the sight glass.

Any ideas?

Yes You are way overfilled
and the fluid is clear and not that apparent in the window. KennyV.

Thanks for the help. I believe you are correct that I'm overfilled, but why isn't the fluid visible in the window. It is not clear and clearly visible. Is it possible that there is a bubble in the sight glass?

If your sight glass is like most others, it will unscrew and allow all the excess fluid to drain. Then add enough to bring it around half way up.
When you are too low or too full you will have trouble seeing the level. That oil is clear enough NOT to be visible in the small aperture. See the attached picture of one removed. KennyV.

Thanks again for the reply--it is much appreciated.

Anyway, my sight glass is recessed, I wonder if it can be unscrewed like yours. It certainly doesn't have a surface that I can put channel locks on or anything. It looks to me like it can be pried out but maybe I'm wrong.

It you can shed any light I'd appreciate it.

I am not familiar with your model, but if you have a dealership in your area, you may be able to get information from the service manager or a service Tec over the phone tell them you have over filled and for the convenience of using the sight gage location as a fill to level, you are needing to know how to remove it to allow it to drain to that level. They should be able to tell you hoe to remove it. Also if you had a repair parts manual you may be able to see this in it.
