For the L1501 DT (L185 DT) I have the following questions:
1) I notice the hydraulic pump only pumps 3.7 gal per minute. SO, for anyone who has an FEL how well does that operate the loader. I am told that it will be real slow; is that true? OR
2) is there a way to add a second hydraulic pump to operate the FEL?
3) does the transmission, rear differential AND the 3pt hitch all share the same fluid; I can not find either a separate reservoir for the 3pt hitch & the owners/operators, service or parts manual does not mention anything about a separate reservoir for the 3pt hitch. IF they share, which do you use hydraulic fluid or 80 weight oil?
4) There is oil leaking rather profusely from my right rear axel/wheel area. It stops once the tractor is parked for a while. What do I need to replace & how much of a job is it?
Based on our readings so far for #3, it appears as if UDT or SUPER UDT is recommended for the Kubota tractors and that YES, the tranny, 3pt and rear diff all share the same fluid? Correct us if wrong!!
Is there any way to know "for sure" what is currently in there so we don't "mix" fluids!? Or will we need to just drain it all?
Thanks for all the help, we will be sure to pass on our notes and findings as we go!
