L120 JOHN DEERE MOWER DECK SPINDLES

My question is simple, i noticed play in the mower deck spindles. Do the spindles have to be pressed apart to change the bearings and seals, or can i purchase the complete jack shaft assembly. I would prefer the complete unit. This mower deck is the 48"cut, and the tractor is two years old and has only 57 hours. It dosen"t have any grease fittings. Thank you for any info.

You can buy the complete spindle and the new ones have a grease fitting on them. The part number is GY20785 and they are $39.99 each. Hope this helps. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If I were you, I'd get acquainted with JD parts. It's very easy to get all your parts information, and if you're signed up and have a dealer listed for your profile, you can pretty much "add to cart" the parts you need.
I find it much easier to deal with parts "my way" than what the counter boys at the dealer sometimes tell you.

By having a John Deere, you are paying for the infrastructure they have set up, so you may as well use it.
