L Series Underside

Greetings all, first post.
We have a 3010 GST mainly for use at our future retirement property. A friend is nearly finished making me a grapple. My question is should I priortise getting a skid plate? At this time Bro-Tek does not offer one for L series. Any other resource?

In general, the L-series Kubotas have enough ground clearance that they don't usually need extra shielding. The hydraulics and control linkages tend to be ok in normal tractor use. But if you are operating over big rocks, stumps, demolition piles or other unusually high stuff, maybe a skid plate would be in order. I'd recommend using it as-is to see how it goes. FWIW my tractors have been used hard sometimes but have never been damaged on the bottom.

People have added skids to their BXs because there are a couple of specific items that are vulnerable under the BX and because of the BXs little tires, their ground clearance is limited. I general, most tractors dont really require a skid. Unless you see something under your L that seems to be vulnerable, I wouldnt worry about it. I dont know about your tractor specifically but I know there wasnt hanging down on the Grand L that I had.
