Hi Guys, My first post on this form ( I drive green)
I am wanting to look at a 5030 with cab. The dealer in White water Ks don't have any. Does any one know the closest dealer that would. I have a lot of questions.
I currently have a JD 4400, GB loader, 48 BH & front blade. I also have a nice cab I built 2 years ago that I put on for the winter. I bought a 10 acers this summer that needs alot of clean up work, whicth has strarted. I put 6 acers to wheat. There is alot of trees to come out. The farming part means my JD is alittle small.
looking for options. Are Kubotas soild for the long run?
Thanks for any help.

I believe I would go to the Kubato site and get some phone numbers of dealers near me and find out taht way. I don't own a 5030 but i do own a 4330 and it is such a pleasure to operate. It is strong with the loader. It will pull 2 14 inch breakers with all ease, and a six foot disk. It might pull bigger that's just what I had here. Longevity, I don't know but I THINK if I keep it serviced that it will. I got the cab and air too..If the 5030 is as good as my 4330 you will love it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Welcome to TBN. Spend some time searching the archives and you'll learn just about anything you ever wanted to know about tractors under, say 50-60 hp.

I can't help you with local dealers, but, being an owner, I did want to add a comment about the Kubota brand. But, regardless of what brand, find a good dealer you can work with.

Kubota has a great reputation for well-engineered, reliable equipment. The little Kubota diesels are almost indestructible and power lot's of industrial equipment (Bobcat, for example). Browse on Ebay or shop around a little and you'll see used Kubota tractors hold their value very well.

Being as you are from midwest farm country, you are probably more used to the renowned ag tractor names, like Deere, New Holland, M-F, etc., all of which also make some great compact equipment. But I've seen some estimates that something close to half of the under 50 hp tractors sold in the US these days are Kubota's.

Kubota seems to be the only mfr. with a factory-designed cab tractor on the compact-sized platform. You may get some replies from some of the owners here, and I doubt any of them would give them up in trade for anything else.

Just as with cars, every brand of tractor has its fan club. Truth be told, there is a wealth of fine equipment to choose from these days, and Kubota ranks among the best.

Have fun shopping!

DDT, My 5030 only has about 100 hours and it is doing everything I thought it would. I noticed the other day that 5030 made a post and said that his 5030C has 700 hours. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I had a JD 4600 that I really liked. However, I really wanted a factory cab with A/C. I was concerned that I would be a little disappointed in Kubota after owning 5 new JD tractors over the years. The L5030HSTC has converted me from true green through and through to orange! The tractor is awesome! Now, what do I do with the dozen or so green implements i have?? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
It took me about 1/2 hour to get used to the hydro, zero time to get used to the quiet climate controlled cab with CD player, and about a day to get over that it wasn't green. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I knew what I wanted, price wasn't really a factor, I just wanted a high quality tractor with a great cab, cold A/C, powerful loader, plenty of PTO hp, long history of quality, great network for parts and service, and no worries. I guess that about sums it up. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I guess that sort of makes me sound like a spoiled kid. Oh well...
I'm sure there are other's with most of the qualities I wanted, but none had everything I wanted except the 5030. Good luck!

DDT, If you get the cab model, I do not believe that you can fit a BH attachment on it, a BH will only fit a ROPS model. Check with your dealer for sure. Oh, you can't go wrong if you buy the L5030, it is one great machine. I have 300 hours on mine and climbing. Kevin

Thanks for the repleys. keep them comming
A dealer told me to put a woods BH on it with a cab model. I went to kubotas web site, I can not find any info on a 5030. I wander if they will fit under a 8' tall door. Will my 70" LP tiller take out the tracks. Are loaders quick to unhook. There are others but slipped my mind for now.

The advertised height is 89.4 inches and the overall width at the wheels w/ R4 tires is right at 70".

You'll love the 5030 HSTC. I've got the 4330 HSTC and it's loader strength and quiet cab will spoil you. You may want to measure the 5030 but my 4330 with cab will fit under an 8' door with room to spare. I use a 5' wide tiller and offset it a few inches to cover my tracks. I have the ag tires, R4's may be a little wider to try and cover.

The Kubota factory subframe BH's are engineered for a very close fit to the rear of the tractor itself. That gives maximum strength and least stress to the BH/tractor installation, but it conflicts with the cab design. The Woods - and Bradco, I think - backhoes apparently offset to the rear a bit more so they can mate up to a 30 series cab tractor. I don't know if anyone here on TBN has actually put one on their Kubota cab tractor.
