L 4330 Kubota oil fill

On the right side of the motor on my 4330 their is a place that says oil, as in a place to put oil. I put my engine oil in the top of the motor. Is this another place to add engine oil if you don't want to raise the hood or is this for some of the hydralic oil. I still haven't completed the 50 hour service and would like to find out. My manual isn't clear to me I just do not understand and I am to far from the dealer to carry it in for something a little work on my part will acomplish. I have the super UDT here and waiting. Either fill port works. I found the side port is easier to use. The port in the valve cover is the old style and I suspect that it was cheaper to continue making the valve covers the old way rather than redesign them. It also meant no changes to the manufacturing process.
