If thats the way it is if im on a hill with levers engaged and I hold the brake its going to shut off. That doesnt seem very safe

I ckd it this morning. PTO off, levers engaged, hold brake pedal for about 4-5 seconds and engine dies.

Pretty simple, they don’t want you trying to move with the brakes applied. Nothing good happens, you burn up the brake or put a lot of stress on the hydros depending on which is stronger. Use the levers to move or the brake to stop, one or the other. Nothing unsafe about it.

I've had diesel Kubota zero turns for 14 years. Why would you ever touch the brake pedal for anything other than setting the parking brake?

on hills quite often Ive stopped to reach up and break off low hanging branches or hold limbs up out of the way which sometimes requires 2 hands to do. Never been a problem before with my ride on Deere. Just held the brake, broke limb and went on.
Just a learning curve on the zero turn I guess.

I’ve also got a 2032R JD tractor 72” Mid mount that I normally use on a hill. We it’s been in the shop for over a month due to a bad transmission. The grass was getting way out of control. So after doing a couple hills that were a challenge on my Hustler, the ZD acted like I was on flat land. I raised the deck up all the way, and started cutting only had a couple incidents that were a problem.
Did the hill in half the time. When I get the JD back I’m using it in the problem area only.
This ZD1211 is the best mower I’ve ever had, fast quiet and cool no heat from the engine.
LOVE IT

I'm interested in a stripping kit, but would like some feedback on the various Mfg..

I contacted Tractorbracket, the stripping kit is only wide enough to fit between the tire track of the rear tires.
Since I've got a 72" deck it isn't any use for me.

I put it on my 72, It does make a difference in striping But with oem acs blades you won’t get a stripe like a scag or hustler mower

Would you buy it again? I'm also looking into different blades.
