Hello all, I attended the Southern Farm show here in Raleigh yesterday and got to see all the cool toys. Woods had 14 pieces of equipment on display. All of the major players were there and well represented. Manufacturing reps from the tractor industry were out in force. I of course stopped by the Kubota display. They had several BX models and B 2410, 2910, and L3010 and even a few supersized M’s. I spoke to a rep for a few minutes to see what Kubota might be coming out with next. He didn’t mention the new financing terms and didn’t disclose anything earth shattering for us. I was just after him to try to push for more of the niceties that the other manufactures have.
I had just come from the New Holland(Blues) site and they had several of the TC models on display. I took the guided tour and was truly impressed by the creature features they have available. Like the wrap around lighting, loader joystick on the right fender, deluxe 3pt system, nice full access tilt-up hood with gas strut, and a interesting curved design on the loader arms for better visibility. The rep didn’t know what wattage the headlights were or rated for, but the corner-mounted headlight looked like a real nice feature for us night creepers’.
They had the interesting Long(Purple) tractors, made in Italy. At the risk of offending some folks, they had a way to go on there compact tractor designs. The JD(Green) were there in force too, the crowd was too much for me to get too close.
I may have to go test drive one of these Blues before I make any life changing decisions.
