Kubota Top and Tilt

Kabota's TnT option lists at $700 and requires at least two remotes to begin with. I guess that means that you get 2 cylinders and 4 hoses for $700? (I know this was discussed about a year ago but nobody knew for sure.) Has anybody ordered a Kubota this way?
Are the cylinders pilot operated?

I told my Kubota dealer I wanted T&T and he had Gearmore cylinders in his office that he installed on my L5030. I don't Think this is the exact Kubota system you mentioned but the package included two cylinders and four hoses for $620. This did not include the remotes. I used them for the first time this weekend and they work great with my boxblade. See attachment. Two control levers, next to the 3 point hitch lever, operate the cylinders. You control the cylinders by holding the lever forward or backward. If you let go of the lever it stops and returns to the mid position and the cylinders hold their position.

That's right, 2 cylinders and 4 hoses and they do NOT have the pilot operated check valves. However, you can do much better by buying the top link and hoses from CCM and the tilt link and hosed from Integration Engineering. Total cost here would be about $500 and the cylinders WILL have the pilot operated check valves. That is what I did since I have 3 remotes.

You will still need 2 remotes but you can get a complete kit (cylinders, hoses, valves, mounting brackets, etc) from Integration Engineering for around $1200. Their TCC (Terrain Contour Control) setup has everything you need. See www.topandtilt.com for more info. Sevferal TBNers have this setup and are quite pleased.

Looks great! Having those controls tucked out of the way inside the fender and away from branches is a good idea. I have trouble with those branches grabbing my FEL joystick when bush hogging.

Thanks for the Kubota setup description. The dealers I talked to weren't too sure about the details.

I saw the TCC unit at a show and it looked nice. I was thinking that Kubota's setup might be more versatile for something besides tnt, like controlling backblade tilt. Maybe not. $1200 would be cheaper if it included the two remotes plus tnt kit. I may contact him.

Once you have the Kubota dedicated remotes (or a TCC kit)your options become virtually unlimited. They can be used for most hydraulic cylinders for any implement including snow blower chute rotators, top links, tilt links, backblade cylinders, etc. The TCC kit includes 2 remotes with a joystick controller. If you disconnect the TCC TNT cylinders then you can use the remotes for anything, same as Kubota remotes. I am just not sure on the connections at the TCC remote valves (QC or fixed). In any case it would be easy to fix up to QC.
