Kubota SSQA is bent

Long time reader, first time poster....I just bought a used M9540. I did notice the tube that holds the two plates together is bent, but didn't think anything of it. When I disconnected from the bucket and tried to hook up to my forks is when I noticed that the ssqa is a little out of line and makes things difficult. I thought about cutting this tube a few inches from each side (away from the bent area) and weld some pipe to the inside. 2" OD pipe is a little too small, does any one know the correct size? Any other suggestions?

Can you get a picture of the problem, it would really help in figuring what to do.

My M95's quick SSQA had a twist to it also. I did a similar fix a little over a year ago. I cut the tube in the center and drilled several 5/8" diameter holes in it. They allowed me to add some plug welds to fuse the inside pipe and the outside tube together. Where I cut the tube I ground a deep v-groove to get good weld penetraition. I clamped it down tight to my heavy weld bench so as I welded it up the heat wouldn't distort it.

I went out and measured the pipe that I used. It is 1 1/2" ID black pipe. The OD is about 2". I let the pipe stick out past the ends a little so I could get a good fillet weld around them.
