well i called my kubota dealer this afternoon to see what the full service cost,an they said between $400 an $500.so im gonna try to get another 50hrs on the tractor before i do anything.they did say that it had break in hydrolic oil in it.an if it got slow or stopped lifting that the oil had gotten to thick an it was time to change it.

well thats what they said.an i guess im a little dumb founded, because i to thought hydrolic oil was hydro oil.ill put another 50hrs on it before i try todo everything.i know the dual air filter doesnt need changing.so thatll save some money.

Break-in hydraulic oil? I don't think I would trust this dealer with my tractor. Better (and cheaper) to do it yourself.

As others have said "break in hyraulic oil??".....I'm not a Kubota guy (yet, check back with me tomorrow - tractor shopping!)....but I have been in industrial / construction equipement service for about 20 years and never heard any refer to that before - I guess it's possible - I'd ask to see the sevice info from Kubota on it, though.
I would guess all you really need is a set of the assorted filters and change engine oil after the first 50hrs.

Unless a guy is either wealthy or totally inept with even basic tools and has never changed oil in a lawn mower or car before, he should do this himself.

He'll save 50%, familiarize himself with his tractor, and nobody will ever do it as well or as carefully as the owner.

Your manual may state otherwise, but my Kubota B2320 only calls for a simple hydraulic filter change at 50 hours, not dumping all that fluid anyhow.

Engine? yes, oil and filter @ 50 hours, which I think is important.

You sure that guy wasn't just blowing smoke up your skirt, 'cause it sure sounds like that to me.

FWIW

Yes, check the manual, I don't think any of the HST's require fluid change at 50 hours and I have never heard of break in oil on these.

We service all of our own tractors and it is not hard.

It appears to me the dealer should be offering a kiss too!

yeah you should do the servicing yourself, of course you do have to crawl under the tractor and get yourself dirty but its not complicated, i am a total klutz and i do it myself.
