Kubota RTVs - how do they handle off road?

When I took the gator on my land the rear wheels would lock and I would continue sliding down the gravel trail... without 4wd or brakes on the front there is no control... I drive my Kubota on the trail all the time and in 4wd the hydo has complete control...

Just having 4wd would give braking control to both axles...

With 4 season tracks basically any UTV will be an offroad monster even a 2wd unit. It says nothing for the machine you will be buying from the dealer with tires instead. Too bad you lose so much speed with tracks, a 25 mph Kubota turns into 15 mph top speed machine I'm not sure even guys that are happy with stock Kubota speed could take a full day of that.

Been four wheeling since the 1960's, has nothing to do with speed, that's why there is BMW in the garage. HS

And I've been ATVing since the early 80's.
I like the ability to go slow trail riding and look at the wildlife.
But I also want the ability to go 50, 60, 70 MPH speeds on the back roads when I want.
If an certain ATV can't do both I will buy the one the can.

Someone doing 70mph on a "back road" on an ATV has a death wish. That's not just dangerous it's stupid. HS

My neighbor and I went on a ride earlier today and I couldn't get more than 65 out of my ATV today for some reason.

Ha!! I got all you all beat! I went at least 25 mph in my RTV this afternoon while tooling around the farm flushing the coolant system out.

The neighbor's thought I was just playing around, but it was clear that I was working hard cleaning and flushing that coolant stuff out - it just might not have been all that obvious to the non-informed or oblivious......

Ok, dumb question for the day:

What is the bolt size for the winch mounting plate on the front bumper. There are four threaded holes. They are not inch threads.

Thanks,
