Kubota RTV 900 Rear Axle loose

Notices that my right rear tire and wheel were cocked this morning on my RTV 900, so I decided to take a look at it. As soon as I lifted the RTV off the axle and wheel/tire, the wheel/tire wobbled back into line again!

Took the wheel off and it looks like the axle shaft is loose in it's housing. Tightening the axle nut doesn't really do anything, so it must be a bearing or something else. Also, I can pull the axle shaft out an inch or so; when it's like this, the axle shaft wobbles around loose. (sorry for all the technical terms, hope I'm not confusing you!).

Anyone know the problem, the solution and any other advice?

I'm not sure whether its the same problem, but there have been several threads dealing with the torque of the axle nut. I can't provide details, but Kubota apparently issued a service bulletin that increased the torque specifications. A low torque was causing wear that resulted in a costly fix.
