I posted this before thought I would try again. I have a Kubota 1100. had high pressure leak in the hose from the pump to the box lever which I replaced. after replacing the hose.i couldn,t switch the valve from the box lift to the plow angle. if you are not familiar with it there is a rocker switch on the dash that is supposed to change the flow of the fluid from the ram that raises the box to the cylinders that angle the snow plow. when in the plow angle mode the plow just starts to angle then the box goes up instead. any thoughts on what could be the problem. could it be air locked and if so what do I do to correct it? thanks ibn advance for any info. 01hunter570

Rocker switch would indicate a electrically operated solenoid valve. I would check to make sure that you did not disturb the connection to this valve & confirm that it is still getting the electric signal,

Also with machine off can you flip the rocker switch and either hear or feel the valve shift?

thanks for your reply oldnslo. yes there is an electric change over valve on the frame rail by the hydraulic box ram. haven't been able to hear it switch when the rocker switch is changed . now that I think of it before changing the hose the plow angled alright but sometimes the box would be raised a little bit after plowing. must have been leaking by some. I called Kubota about the valve and they say it is about $1000 to replaced but there are parts available for it. problem is if I hire them to fix it, it will probably be close to that with the labor. I don't know anything about these kind of valves maybe I would be better off to take it off and take it to a hydraulic shop. what are your thoughts? 01hunter570

I am not familiar with the RTV 1100 so difficult to say exactly how to diagnose further.

Did you have to remove more than one hose to replace the leaking hose?

From what you are describing it sounds like a selector valve of some style that directs flow to either the box or blade. These can be sensitive to contamination so changing the hose might have introduced some dirt. If you have a good local hydraulic shop talk to them.

I looked for parts diagram but could not find one.

oldnslo, wouldn't it be a simple diverter valve controlled by a selector switch?

Sounds like maybe it was failing earlier by his statement the bed would slightly raise when using the plow?

I guess it's remotely possible the diverter valve is completely air locked?

Maybe replace it with a more affordable valve?

From description I am not sure if this a separate line mount diverted or a valve in a manifold which then could be simple 3way 2 position valve. Without some type of schematic we are taking educated guesses

Yep. Hopefully we'll see some more data. Interesting problem though.

oldnslo I only replaced one hose. it was the hose that comes off the pump and goes to the lever valve that runs the box and when switched the plow angle. thanks for your reply. 01hunter570 ps. if it was air locked any ideas how to get the air out?

Try turning on the key and flipping the switch to blade before starting the engine then start the engine to see if the blade moves. The valve might shift with no flow no pressure vs when the engine is running

Side note: very rare for air lock on pressure line. This is typically a problem found on pump inlets
