Kubota Parts

Any news from the dealers on Kubota parts with the Fukushima disaster? Anybody know where the parts come from or where they are manufactured within Japan?:confused2:

I haven't had any issues yet, and I have ordered a few things. I will be in my local dealer tomorrow and will ask what kind of problems they are anticipating. Kubota parts distribution is one of the best in the business in my experience. In the rare instance of having something backordered to Japan it usually only took 3 days to get, and the only freight I paid is from Alaska to my dealer.

We will see how things go. I expect it to be a couple of months before we notice any problems.

Kubota is locatedin Osaka on the other side of the island and have had little or no issues with parts or production other then from the disruptions of that day.

Thanks for the info. I would have to agree also...Kubota has lived up to their reputation. Excellent service...had a very minor hydraulic leak in a hose and a grease zirk that wouldn't take grease. They (Johnson Tractor in Rochelle, IL) were on it right now. Little under 80 hours on the 5740 and it is doing exactly what it was advertised to do. No surprises other than the fact that I don't miss shifting gears at all.
I'm back filling a hole where I put a root cellar and not having to shift has saved me A TON of time and my right arm!

We've had several updates, all saying little to no impact in the short term. Long term is more unknown.
