China's taking over the world. 'Course, people said the same about Japan, and look what happened...
Per the Wix site, that's a 51365 (NAPA 1365), which fits a PILE of applications (like some of my John-Deeres, numerous Honda autos/bikes, and a bunch of other stuff). I found it while searching for a filter for brother #2's
BX23. According to
[5] at the
Motorcycle Oil Filter Cross Reference site there are a number of other ones that will work, too. Mobil 1's (I have a Mobil 1 M1-110 on my X595), Purolator Pure One's, longer ones, if they'll physically fit. The filter world is your oyster..
I remember brother #1's jaw bouncing off the floor when he found out the 51365 filter for his J-D would also fit his ST1300 motorcycle. He'd been paying $10-12 for the OEM Honda filter, which is probably a fine filter, but the WIX/NAPA's he had on the shelf for the J-D cost $6. He's happy.

I, on the other hand, have a Suzuki motorcycle, which uses an unusual thread, so my filter choices are much more limited, and more expensive.
A bit further off the subject - filters can be pretty confusing/expensive; I remember searching for a Kohler replacement ($12 for OEM), then finding out that most Kohlers and B&S's take the same filter (the 'net can be very helpful, at times), and there's a wide variety out there to choose from. We ended up using a Fram TG3600 that cost $5.98 at Wally's (cohorts of the Chinese in world domination

) on my nephew's 25 HP Kohler. A Motorcraft FL400S would work, too ($2.98 at Advance Auto), or Purolator L10241, same price.
