Kubota MX5000 DT

Looking at a MX5000 DT for $20500. Does anyone have experience with these? Sound like a reasonable price? It has a LA 851 loader on it.-Ben

I think several on here have this tractor and what I have read is all positive. You might try looking on some of the threads inquireing about the MX 5100, There have been replys on some of those from 5000 owners at least until they spot this thread.

If that's a new price, it's very good. The MX5000 is a solid tractor...at least mine has been. Tough, but basic without a lot of extra size and weight. Mine burns about 1.25 gal. per tach hour, no matter how hard I work it.

It is not new, but practically new. The loader has a few scratches on it. As far as we can tell here in Washington County, it is brand new.

When I first read your post I thought you where talking NEW.
This week I got my monthly advertising from the local dealer here on the Eastern Shore of Md.

He has a New MX 5000DT w/ Loader advertised for $20,900.
He has a picture of it. No canopy/ but brand new.
With 15% down they offer O% finance for 60 mo.
You live in Wash. Co. But what state are you from?
If you want I can scan the ad and send it to you. Maybe if he sees what you can get a new one for he'll negotiate.

I got a quote of 20,690 on a new mx5100 with loader in Bastrop, LA. If the tractor is any kind of used even as a demo I would ask for a lower price. Would the tractor be able to be financed trhu kubota for 0% interest? The interest would make a price difference in the end.

Washington County, Maine. The dealer here is quoting 25500 for the new version. But with the 0% financing, it would cost the same in the end to buy new at 25500 as it would to buy the 20500 at 8%. He also has a 2006, unused with a HST for 26500. That seems like the best deal. I would be interested to know if the lower prices you are seeing are for the same tractor, but in different states, or if they have some different equipment. Do we just pay more way out here in the woods?-Ben

Simple answer is YES,
The dealers up in the far N.E. always seem higher.
That $25500. I belive is Full list Price. Around here 10-15% off list is all the $$$ they can get from us poor boys.
The tractors MATTMAN And I quoted are the same as they sell up there except that your dealer may have a block heater installed. Cost under 100 bucks.

Yes, I have a trailer. I am going to go on Monday to the dealer and see if I can get the straight scoop. I need to get something soon, as my old tractor just blew a bearing in low range. I would easily travel to get a better deal, that would not be a problem.

Don't know if you'd feel comfortable buying out of state and having it shipped (no local dealer for major warranty work) but I got real good prices from Barlow Equipment - Home of the Kubota Tractor Package Builder including shipping. Of course shipping to Maine on an MX will be a lot more than a BX. Might be worth getting a quote though.
