Kubota M59
Dealer sold me a 74" Kubota/Land Pride RG3704 for my Kubota M59 TLB. I have not used it yet and can return it if necessary. It looks heavy, and I have searched unsuccessfully for the weight of the stock 84" front loader bucket and the weight of the RG3074. Any guidance to find the weight of these would be welcome as well as opinions as to whether it is too heavy for the M59.

What about going with someone else's grapple? I've got an EA grapple and it's significantly lighter: 400 lbs? The lighter weight of the EA grapple means I can lift more material weight. Anyone thinking that lighter may mean weaker can take a look at this:

That's a lot of force being exerted out forward like that: I didn't intend to snag the stump that way, it just happened and I went with it.

When I was purchasing my Kioti I'd asked about pricing on a grapple through my Kioti dealer. I not only got a better price going with the EA grapple but I also got a superior grapple.

947 pounds for RG3074 with grapple claws.

Loader weighs 1,169 pounds, so 947 pounds for the grapple seems right.

So whatever the specs are for your loader lift, grapple lift should be very close.

AHHHH!

The ENTIRE loader weighs 1169 pounds, not just the bucket!

947 pounds is WAYYY too heavy & would feel like your carrying around a bucket full of rocks, even when the grapple is empty.

You'd be much better off with our 55" or 73" Wicked Grapple in the 600 pound range.

Here's the 55" installed on our L6060. There's also a video on the linked page that shows Ted beating up a 73" model with the L6060.

Thanks for all the replies so far! A call to Kubota reveals the bucket weight to be 538 pounds so the RG3074 would add 412 pounds. With the bucket breakout force is 5961.3 pounds, lift to full height is 3968.3 pounds. I think the breakout force would not be particularly degraded, but the lift force would be reduced to 3968.3-412= 3556.3 pounds. That's enough to lift a 10 foot pine log 3 feet in diameter or a 3x3x3 rock. You might ask if I know all this why the original question, but I couldn't get the bucket weight from Kubota until today. Plus it's a slow day at work. Plus I am a tractor/loader /backhoe newb and there's probably a lot I don't consider.

So will you be able to return it? That sure is a heavy grapple, and I presume one like the everything attachments version would be a much better fit, even with your loader, which puts the L6060 loader to shame.
