Kubota M4700 opinion?

I'm looking to buy a good in the 40s PTO hp 4wd tractor for a reasonable price. Plan to do a mixture of ag/dig/clearing with it -- while I know it's easier and faster to rent certain equipment for certain tasks, I don't mind taking more time and want an all around good multi-use tractor. I missed an opportunity at a good M4900 that was only 7 years old and now am looking at an M4700 that is 10 years old with around 800 hours.

Anyone have any opinions about the M4700 that would be helpful? Is/was this a good model for Kubota? Anything I should be concerned about/know about while I consider? What's a decent price for one like I described?

I have a M5400, which is the big brother to the M4700. The M5400 has 9 more engine HP, and 8 more PTO HP. All other specs are identical. They are just a good ole tough utility tractors. Not many bells and whistles, no tilt wheels, no telescoping steering colums. Manual transmissions. After 5 or 6 hours of bush hogging the seat should be considered a mid evil torture device. But they are tough, not allot of plastic to break. I use mine in my bush hogging business with a 8 ft dual spindle bush hog. The 5 cylinder engine is smooth and quite with lots of torque, and just sips the fuel. If you want bells and whistles with creature comforts this tractor is not for you. My New Holland TC-45D has hydro transmission, tilt steering wheel. telescoping steering wheel, cruse control, suspension seat that swivels, touch button to change transmission speeds, cup holder. It also has plastic fenders and allot of electrical stuff that can break.

Mine is a 2wd and I have never had it stuck, it does really well in soft mushy ground with the R-1 ag tires. I don't have a front end loader on it so I can't comment on that.

A guy I work with has a M4700 he uses on a horse ranch. He seems to really like his, I have never heard one complaint about it.

You won't find much info on this series of tractors here on TBN. Even in the Kubota forums the large percentage of posts are on the smaller *B* series of tractors. That's why you haven't had allot of replies.
