Kubota M125X, JD 5425
My son was using a Kubota M125X to clear a path through a wind row that contains old stumps, limbs, dirt etc. He was using the front end loader with a bucket on it to push eveything out of the way. The loader uses a skid steer quick attach to hold the bucket onto the front end loader. Some how the left side of the bucket came off the quick attach. Apparently a limb hit the skid steer release handle. This caused the left bracket that fits into the bucket to bend. In other words, the loader can not be used with out replacing this bracket. Unfortunately, this bracket consist of the left bracket, right bracket and the bar in between (A rather large part).

I have not contacted the dealer yet. The tractor is about a year old with only about 170 hrs on it. What is everyone's opinion on this?? Should the dealer try to help me out or should I just grin and bear it?

My only thing is for the amount of dollars spent on this tractor, this quick attach skid steer handle is easy to release. It does not lock like the bush hog loaders that I have used in the past.

Thanks,

Steve

I would say that you should grin and bear it. It wasn't a factory defect and the dealer nor Kubota had anything to do with it. When doing that type of work it happens to all of us at one time or another. Can it be straightened out or is it to mangled? Maybe a good fabrication shop could fix it up?

I decided to call the dealer and let them look at. He thought since the tractor was only a year old that Kubota may take care of it. Thank goodness for Kubota and dealer support. This dealer is both a Kubota and a John Deere dealer. What a great combination. I have learned my lesson. I still wish Kubota would modify the quick release handle so it would some how lock into place. Has anybody else had any experience with a skid steer type front end loader???

Thanks......

I had the same thing happen to me on my M9540. I was lucky I caught it in time before the left side bracket twisted. I don't know what caught it. I was actually using a fork and may not have locked in down in place in my haste to get a job done before darkness. I'd like to hear your outcome with Kubota.

Before the fix kit I popped the forks out of my skidsteer q/a and broke the tip off one of the pins. Luckily its has still worked and I noticed right away.

All the newer machines come with the fix installed.

What exactly is the "fix kit"? The dealer did not mention this. When I ask if this is a known problem, I did not get a response.

The dealer picked up the tractor today. I asked about the "fix kit" and he said they were installing it. I am still not sure exactly what the "fix kit" is. When I get the tractor back, I can let eveyone know. The dealer said that he/Kubota would take care of everything. Thank goodness that the dealer and Kubota are standing behind their tractors.

I do not have a picture of the original bent bracket and the dealer has already replaced it. I have not had a chance to talk to the dealer to find out what the "fix kit" is. I put the bucket back on today and it still appears it could happen again. I wish the loader release handles would some how lock into place. I guess I will have to build back up my confidence in this loader.
