Yeah TC I know what you mean.
(After work I work as I have my own business (as well as 2 kids and 6 acres so no plane time for me !!)
I don't smoke and drink only very occasionally and I reckon my pilot's licence cost me about 1 carton of booze and 3 packets of smokes per week over 3 years.
People who drink and smoke that much (no offence for any TBN members as I don't have a problem with that) are the people who say "Gee you must be rich to afford to get a pilot's licence.
I also reckon life is too short to wait until you are "retired" before you do what you want to do.
