Kubota L3750
Does some one have a source for loader cyllinders , the bucket tilting cyllinder for a LA 900 Loader. The Kubota cyllinder is $1500 and a bit steep. Bought a used loader that was missing a cyllinder for my L 3750.

I'm afraid you are probably stuck with Kubota for a new one. Loader cylinders are usually special as far as stroke length and end configurations. You might get lucky and find a used one at a tractor salvage yard. Another option might be having a hydraulic shop make or convert a standard cylinder.

The bucket cylinders are common cylinders,

you just have to find a cylinder builder that

makes the cylinder as they are made in the

United States

YOU need the following:

1. the pin size for the rod end of the cylinder
a. the measured distance from the pin center to the wall of the bucket to
properly size the rod outside diameter.
2. the pin size for the barrel end mount of the cylinder
The measured distance from the barrel pin center to the mounting plate.
3. the measured length of the barrel and rod stroke length combined when
the bucket is fully retracted as this will determine the amount of usable
cylinder rod stroke below vertical.

The outside diameter of the barrel can be determined by using a compass to draw circles in cardboard of various sizes including the loaders hoist cylinders diameter.

You can successfully mount "Prince" tie rod cylinder in this machine with no issues as long as the barrel has clearance to move in the minor arc required
to move the bucket below horizontal.

My experience with 3 different manufactures of loaders is that this is not true. Maybe Kubota is different?

You can get custom made cylinders. If you have one to copy there should be no problem getting one made and it will be cheaper than $1500.

$1500 for one cylinder?:shocked::shocked::shocked:

And you all say the Green paint is expensive!

Only to the point of the job they do! If changing one cylinder to a different style or make I'd be changing both to keep them mated! Otherwise you will variations of pressure often from side to side causing frame weakness and possible fatigue and later problems.

Most cylinders are rebuildable for far less then replacement.

The problem is, he doesn't have a cylinder to rebuild. Agree that the cylinder needs to be an exact match in barrel size, rod size, stroke and retracted length so it works in harmony with the other cylinder. If it's not, it will damage something. I made standard replacement cylinders fit a loader because of the high price of factory replacements. I had to change one port on the cylinders, and the cylinder attachment brackets on the loader frame and quick attach frame to accommodate the different cylinder ends and stroke of the cylinder. The two new cylinders were less than half the cost of one from the manufacturer. I lost a little curl in the modification, but it works good.

I wonder if the Kubota price is for both cylinders instead of just one? $1500 is about 4x what it ought to cost, so $750 for one ought to be about right because its 2x what I think it ought to be!
