Finally, after beating on every Kubota contact I got a reply and can now reveal the mystery of why Kubota prohibits liquid ballast in the L4610 with CAB.
This was already guessed/proposed by some TBN denizens.
It is a strength issue with regard to the ROPS capability of the CAB. Sure, there is some amount of liguid ballast that might be safe but they aren't splitting hairs.
To add to the confusion/consternation, there is no prohibition against using the maximum number/weight of cast iron wheel weights that will fit on the rear wheels, ditto front weights on the front "bumper."
This leaves me to guess that the max weight of bolt on weights, 185 lbs per wheel or a total of 370 pounds is within the margin of safety for the CAB's ROPS capability. Liquid fills range up to 585 lbs per wheel depending on tire size and percent of fill (75% is max). My tire size would acomodate up to 970 lbs of ballast or 600 lbs more than wheel weights.
There is, of course, no allowance for implements on the 3PH or on the FEL so I guess they assume that they will not contribute much to the ROPS collapse.
I will be picking up a set of 6 wheel weights this coming week. Probably get a 3PH carryall as well.
