I lift & load a 1500 lb pallet of fertilizer into my dumptruck every other day with my 724, no problem at all.

This is about Hydrostatics-

We don't have it on our M4900, or in that case on any Kubota.

But- I can tell you that the shuttle shift is great, but having to moniter three gear changing levers- forward/reverse, 1-4 gear, hi/lo range.

We do have hydrostatics on-
NH TC30
Ford 1520 & 1620
JD 455
CD 1450

And if your mowing/bush-hoging, or something of that nature, I think Hydro is a must.

And although we make do with shuttle on the one and only loader, hydro would be much, much, better.

I bought an L3940 six months ago. It has spent over a month in the (authorized) dealer's shop so far. Three days ago, the right front wheel fell off. Fell off. Three months ago, I hit a small stump that took out all the hydraulics on the front-end loader and generated a $6000 repair bill. This is my third Kubota tractor. The other two were terrific, absolutely trouble-free, but this one, I dunno . . . and I cannot seem to find one single Kubota employee who wants to hear about it, much less to offer any solutions. This is not a tractor that gets worked very hard, and, frankly, I am wary of using it again . . . when it comes back from the dealer's repair shop, after the parts come in, next week. Maybe. The dealer's suggestion? Buy another one, same model. All he wants is my tractor . . . and $10,500! That seems to me pretty expensive for 150 total hours of use.
